TILES vs Strangler Fig - Burpengary is a Suburb Which Causes Misanthropy, Oxley is Where I Celebrated and Overcame This combines analogue and digital improvisation with layered field recordings and synthesized photographs to create a hazy soundscape reminiscent of yet another dreary night in the outer suburbs of Brisbane. Recordings of native and invasive fauna peak throughout the recording, underpinned by man-made sounds, occasional percussion, and distortion via concrete drains.
